This type of survey is a requirement of lenders if money is to be borrowed to buy a yacht, or by insurance companies prior to issuing cover. And when using your own money, being aware of the fair market price is extremely useful.
A yachts value is based on a likely sale price between a willing buyer and a willing seller on the open market. We are a contributing member of a marine trade database which records actual contract sale values of thousands of yachts every year.
